3 arrested for possessing controlled pharmaceutical drugs in Pokhara

POKHARA: Police on Saturday arrested three persons with controlled pharmaceutical drugs from Pokhara Metropolitan City-9 of Kaski district.

According to the spokesperson at Kaski District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Raj Kumar KC, police stopped a car (Ga 1 Cha 4865) on the suspicion of drugs smuggling at Mahendra Pul and arrested the car driver Subas Gurung (46) of Ram Bazaar in Pokhara-10 after finding 120 tablets of controlled pharmaceutical drug Nitrovat 10 from his possession.

The drugs were hidden inside a black plastic bag Gurung was keeping with him along with Rs 96,450 cash.

Police also arrested Yubaraj Gurung (21) and Aasha Gurung (22), both from Marshyangdi Rural Municipality-6 of Lamjung, who were travelling on the same car in connection to the case.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, informed Kaski police.
