Nepal Police rescue 3 Indian nationals, detain 5 suspected abductors

JHAPA: Police have rescued three Indian nationals who were taken hostage at a house in Shani Arjun Muncipality of Jhapa in eastern Nepal on Friday night.

Police said they arrested the suspected abductors -- three Nepali and two Indian nationals -- with possession of a pistol, bullets and a vehicle.

According to Bhim Bahadur Dahal, spokesperson at the District Police Office, Jhapa, the victims are residents of Rajasthan and Gujarat of India.

Police said that they managed to rescue the victims acting on a tip-off provided by the Indian police.
