KATHMANDU: Three persons were injured in an ambulance accident at Karinghat in Chitwan district on Monday.

The injured have been identified as ambulance driver Khem Singh Gurung (50) of Bhorletar-3, Lamjung, Sushil Thapa (18) of Syangja and Chhabi Thapa (30).

The incident occurred after the ambulance (Ga 2 Cha 8704) driver lost control of the vehicle due to tyre puncture and fell some 50 metres down the road at around 10 pm.

All the injured were brought to Kathmandu for treatment.

Among the injured, Gurung is said to be in critical condition.
