CHITWAN: At least three persons were killed and three others injured when a powerful bomb went off in front of a house at Bhandara in Chitwan district on Monday morning.

According to police, the deceased have been identified as Janaki Rai, 42, her son Raj Kumar Rai, 14 and daughter Ram Maya Rai, 17. The bomb was reportedly brought by the children from the bank of Martal River, where the police often holds its training.

Abin Rai, 8, Kumar Rai, 24, and Bal Krishna Rai, 29 were injured in the incident. The injured are being taken to Bharatpur hospital for treatment. Police said that it has started an investigation into the incident.
