3 killed in Dhading bus-microbus collision
DHADING: At least three persons died and three others were injured when a bus and a microbus collided head-on at Charaundi, Ghusa-1 of Dhading district along the Prithvi Highway on Monday.
According to the District Police Office, Dhading, the incident occurred when the bus (Na 5 Kha 7083) heading to Dharan from Kathmandu collided head-on with the micro bus (Ga 1 Ja) en route to Kathmandu from Dumre of Tanahun this afternoon.
The three deceased and the three injured passengers were all in microbus alone. The deceased have been identified as Janak Raj Acharya (80), Ayush Shrestha (13) while the third one who appears to be in his early 30s is yet to be identified.
The three injured have been identified as Prem Raj Acharya and Sushant Acharya of Chiundi-3, Parvati Shrestha (34) of Bhanjyang-12, all from Tanahun district.
The injured have been rushed to a hospital in Kathmandu after they received first aid course in a hospital located in Gajuri of Dhading district.
Police have impounded the bus and arrested its driver for investigation.
