3 Parbat villages at high risk of landslides following 'Gorkha' quake

PARBAT: Three villages in Parbat district are at high risk of landslides after fissures started developing at surrounding areas of the villages following the devastating quake.

Gauriswara of Bhangara VDC, Okhaldhunga of Bajung and Archale of Thanamaula are at high risk of landslides. The villages, which are at risk of landslides from earlier, are now at high risk due to fissures following the quake.

A total of 22 households of Okhaldhunga, 21 of Gauriswara and 52 of Archale are at high risk of landslides, according to the monitoring carried out by the District Soil Conservation Office.

The families should be shifted to safer places soon.
