HETAUNDA: A three-year-old child died in a Tata Sumo accident in Bhainse of Makawanpur district on Thursday.

The victim has been identified as Basu Koirala from Padam Pokhari, Hetaunda Sub-Metropolitan City-14 of the district.

Other eight passengers including the victim's mother Amita Koirala (30) have sustained injuries in the accident while the vehicle (Na 1 Ja 2009) fell around 15 metres off the road  near the Trikhandi Temple in Bhainse today.

Koirala as well as 60-year-old Dhan Laxmi Dhakal were said to be critical, according to Makawanpur District Police Office spokesperson DSP Bamdev Gautam.

The vehicle was heading to Kathmandu from Hetaunda.

Meanwhile, the vehicle driver was absconding and police are looking for him.
