Jumla fire guts property worth Rs 30 m
KATHMANDU: A fire engulfed Karnali Academy of Health Sciences guttingĀ properties worth more than Rs 30 million in Chandanath Municipality-3 of Jumla district in the wee hours of Saturday.
According to DSP Bishnu Hari Koirala of the District Police Office, Jumla, the inferno destroyed the laboratory as well as equipment used for x-ray, ultrasound and dental endoscopy, and its pharmacy completely. However, no human causality has been reported so far.
The fire was doused with the help of Nepal Police, Nepal Army and local people, informed DSP Koirala.
The cause behind the fire is yet to be ascertained, added police.
