GORKHA: As many as 33 families have been displaced after a flash flood in Budhigandaki River inundated Soti Bazaar in Thumi VDC of  the district.

According to Sapana Panta, local, remaining houses are also at high risk of flood.

Chief District Officer (CDO) Uddhav Prasad Timilsina informed that a joint team of the Nepalese Army, Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force rescued the locals and shifted them to safer places.

He added that the water level in the river is gradually decreasing.
