KATHMANDU: The Parsa District Police Office took departmental action against 36 police personnel who violated the code of conduct.

As many as 25 police constables, seven head constables, two assistant sub-inspectors and two sub-inspector were punished.

According to Superintendent of Police at the DPO Raju Babu Shrestha, they had violated rules at various points in past nine months.

Among them, an SI has been suspended while departmental actions were taken against others.

Stating that the protectors of the society must be responsible, SP Shrestha said they were punished in order to strengthen the organisation.
