36 SSPs transferred

Kathmandu, June 1:

The Home Ministry today transferred 36 Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) to different places and handed over the authority to them.

According to a police news bulletin, Dr Chuda Bahadur Shrestha has been transferred to the National Police Academy, Devi Lal Tamang to Crime Investigation Academy, Krishna Bahadur Thapa to the security division at the police headquarters, Sharada Bhakta Ranjit to administration division, Baburam Gurung to Traffic Control division at the police headquarters, Madan Bahadur Khadka to foreign division, Niraj Pun to National Security Council Secretariat and Jayasingh Thapa has been transferred to security division at the headquarters.

Surendra Bahadur Pal has been transferred to crime investigation division at the headquarters, Shibahari Karki and Narayan Kumar Acharya to reserve force unit, Pushkarnath Regmi to operation division, Ramesh Bikram Shah to economic administration division, Gyanuraj Kunwar to forensic division, Binod Singh to peace and security division, Sanandan Prasad Kurmi to valley police office, Krishna Bahadur Rana to the Valley Traffic Police Office and Prakash Kunwar has been transferred to the airport.

Similarly, Man Bahadur Rawal has been transferred to Nepalgunj, Arjun Jung Shahi to Bhairahawa, Dinkar Shamsher JBR to Janakpur, Manoj Kumar Shah to Birgunj, Lok Bahadur Karki to Dhangadhi, Birsharan Thapa to Baglung, Narendra Kumar Khaling to Pokhara, Rabindra Pratap Shah to Kathmandu area police unit office, Kuber Singh Rana to Dharan, Prabal Shamsher Rana to Chandragadhi, Bharat JC to Rajbiraj, Ganga Prasad Pandey to Dang, Bhisma Prasai to Jumla and Shyam Prasad Nepall has been transferred to Mahendranagar.

The suspended SSPs — Kiran Kumar Gautam, Kalyan Timalsina and Basantaraj Kunwar — have been posted at the police headquarters. The recently-promoted 11 SSPs had been waiting for weeks for their posting and their authority handed over to them.
