Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 635,188 on Monday with 1,509 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 588,187 with 3,853 people discharged today.
With the latest additions, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll stands at 9,051 with 42 fatalities recorded today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, 11,640 total tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 6,648 were PCR tests while 4,992 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 3,329,687 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 935 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 2,444.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 92.6 %, while on the other hand the fatality rate stands at 1.5%.
The country's active Covid-19 case count has dropped to 37,940 with daily recoveries exceeding daily infections.
In the same time frame, 355 infections were reported in the capital city while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur reported 112 and 47 cases respectively.
So far, a total of 3,339,983 people have received coronavirus vaccine across the country, of which 2,587,873 have received the first dose while only 752,110 individuals have been inoculated with both the doses and are fully vaccinated.
Currently, there are 367 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Sunday, Nepal's coronavirus case count had reached 633,679 with 1,353 more people testing positive for the infection.
Globally, over 181 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 3.9 million people have lost their lives to the disease.
Likewise, over 166 million people have recovered while more than 11 million cases are still active.
