BHOJPUR: A four-year-old girl died in a house fire at Hatuwagadi Rural Municipality-5 in Bhojpur district on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Khimbung Rai, daughter of a local resident Bal Bahadur Rai.

Property worth Rs one million has been gutted in the fire that broke out at the house belonging to Man Bahadur Rai and spread to a shed at around 2:00 pm yesterday, according to the Ghodetar-based Area Police Office.

Another local Chandra Kumari Rai (39) was also injured while trying to douse the fire, said police.

A police team deployed from APO with the help of locals doused the fire.
