LAMJUNG, July 27

Lack of rainfall has left more than 40 per cent paddy fields uncultivated in Lamjung.

According to District Agriculture Office Lamjung, planting has been completed in paddy fields having access to irrigation facilitybut those with no such facility are barren.

The agro office further added that paddy plantation had been done in the upper parts of the district. However, the low-lying areas in the district were still lying barren.

Tej Prakash Dawadi, Chief at district agriculture office said that places popular for paddy cultivation such as Chakratirtha, Bhalayakharka, Dhamikuwa, Chiti, Tarkughat, Bhorletar, Sundar bazaar were yet to be cultivated.
