41 fuel tankers enter country

As many as 41 tankers ferrying petroleum products entered Nepal via Rupaidiha border point near Nepalgunj today.
SI Bishnu Giri at Area Police Office Jamunah said that as many as 41 tankers loaded with petroleum products had entered Nepal via Rupaidiha border point till today evening. Of those tankers, 24 are diesel, 11 gas bullets and four aviation fuel.
The tankers that entered Nepal had been stranded on the Indian side for a long time.
Staffers at the Nepal Oil Corporation said that entry of petroleum products would ease the fuel scarcity to some extent. Similarly, 14 tankers loaded with petroleum products entered Nepal via Kakadbhitta border today. Three bullets of gas and 86 heavy trucks loaded with goods and commodities entered the country, said DSP Shyam Adhikary at Area Police Office, Kakadbhitta.
DSP Adhikary said that the Kakadbhitta border had no problem in the import and export of goods and commodities. “The situation is getting normal”, DSP Adhikary added.
Likewise, not a single vehicle entered the country via Gaurifanta border point today.
Meanwhile, no vehicle entered via the Birgunj-Raxaul and Bhairahawa’s Sunauli Customs points today.
Prolonged sit-ins and agitation have disrupted customs offices at Birgunj and Bhairahawa.
