Over 430 SKorean Buddhists offer prayers for global peace in Kapilvastu
JITPUR: As many as 430 South Korean Buddhists paid visit to the Buddha's land at ancient Kapilvastu and offered collective prayers for the global peace.
The South Koreans made the prayers en masse after reaching Tilaurakot, Bhamaniya Twin Stupa and Nigrodharam (Kudan) on Friday.
It was a very fortunate moment to visit Buddha's playground after offering collective prayers at Nigrodharam, shared chief monk Peu Parun Sanim, of AAST Post in Seoul, South Korea .
A huge number of Korean Buddhists visit Nepal every year to visit sites where Buddha was born and brought up.
Tilaurakot is the playground of Buddha while Twin Stupa is considered to be the monument of his father and mother. Likewise, Nigrodharma is popular as a site where Buddha delivered his preaching to several Buddhism followers including his son Rahul after he attained enlightenment.
