45 houses along Narayangadh-Muglin road section to be relocated

CHITWAN: A process has been forwarded to relocate 45 houses, which are at high risk of landslide along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section, to safer locations.

Chief District Officer, Narayan Prasad Bhatta, said that a seven-day notice has been issued calling on the affected to apply for due compensation in that regard.

Similarly, a committee has been formed under the coordination of Assistant CDO, Netra Prasad Sharma, to determine the amount of compensation.

According to Bhatta, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29 and Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality have been urged to search an appropriate place to shift the settlement.

The Narayangadh-Muglin Road  Project had communicated to the District Administration Office to relocate the houses after landslides started occurring at different locations along the road section following the ongoing road expansion drive.
