The Election Commission has so far printed 4,522,000 ballot papers meant for 28 of the 77 districts where local polls are slated for May 13.

EC Spokesperson Paudel said although 17,733,000 voters were eligible to cast their votes in local polls, the Election Commission will print 19,400,000 ballot papers keeping in mind the need for additional ballot papers required at some places.

According to a press release issued by the EC, the poll panel has already secured supply of 34 of 38 types of materials that it would need to hold the local polls on the stipulated date.
