46 candidates lose deposit in Kavre district

Forty-six candidates who had filed their candidacy for the parliamentary and provincial polls in Kavre have lost their deposit after they did not receive even 10 per cent votes from the total valid votes cast in the district.
According to the result made public by Election Office, Kavre, on Monday, 22 parliamentary and 24 provincial assembly candidates have lost their deposit. Thirteen parliamentary poll candidates in Constituency No 1 lost their deposit and five others, who had filed candidacy for province assembly from Kavre-1 Ka, also lost their deposit. Similarly, 10 candidates who filed their candidacies for provincial assembly from Kavre-1 ‘kha’, eight lost their deposit.
In Constituency-2, nine parliamentary poll candidates lost their deposit, while five others among eight candidates, who had filed candidacy for provincial polls, lost their deposit from Kavre-2 ‘Ka’. Similarly, of the eight candidates, six from Kavre-2 ‘Kha’ lost their deposit.
The candidates from Nepal Workers and Peasants Party, Deshbhakta Janaganatrantrik Morcha-Nepal, Naya Shakti Party, CPN-ML, Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal, Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal, Nepali Janat Dal, Bibekshil Sajha Party, Nepali Congress-Democratic, Nepal Federal Socialist Party, Liberal Democratic Party, Nepa Rastriya Party and an Independent lost their deposit.
