CHITWAN: Five people were injured when a pick-up van and two motorcycles collided with each other in Bharatpur of Chitwan on Monday.

The incident took place when the pick-up van (Ga 1 Ja 5706) collided head-on with the two motorcycles (Ga 4 Pa 3918 and Na 17 Pa 5721) in Bharatpur-10 at around 6 pm yesterday.

The injured have been identified as bike (Ga 4 Pa 3918) rider Shreeram Kattel (50) of Bharatpur-12, his wife Narayani (45) and daughter Sandhya.

Other injured have been identified as Bijay Neupane (18) and Sumakar Bhandari (20) of Bharatpur-7.

The injured are undergoing treatment at the Chitwan Medical College.

Police said that they have impounded the pick-up van and arrested its driver for investigation.
