DAMAULI: Five people were injured when an ambulance ferrying a patient met with an accident at Aanbukhaireni of Tanahun along the Dumre-Muglin road section of Prithvi Highway, on Wednesday.

The injured were Rodh Kumal (70), Chand Kumal (35), Suman Kumal (22), Himal Ghimire (50) and Mahesh Ghimire (38) of Palungtar in Gorkha district, informed the Tanahun District Police Office.

All five injured were on board the vehicle when the ambulance (Ga 1 Cha 9660), en route to Chitwan from Palungtar, veered off the road and fell some 50 feet down. They are being treated at various hospitals at Aanbukhaireni.

Police have said the exact cause behind the accident is yet to be ascertained.
