SAPTARI: 51 houses were completely destroyed in a fire early Tuesday morning in Lohajara-7 of Saptari district. It has led to the loss of property worth Rs. 1 crore.

According to SP Bhupal Kumar Bhandari of Saptari, the fire broke out at around 2 am in the residence of Palat Sah at Lohajara-7. The police and locals joined hands in battling the fire and brought it under control after four hours. The unavailability of fire brigades in Saptari contributed to the delay in bringing the fire under control.
