53 petroleum tankers enter country

NEPALGUNJ: As many as 53 tankers carrying petroleum products entered Nepal via Rupaidiha border point between Saturday and Sunday.

Seven tankers loaded with petrol and five with diesel entered the country on Sunday while 36 diesel tankers and five with aviation fuel entered the country via Rupaidiha on Saturday night, according to SI Bishnu Giri of Area Police Office, Jamunaha.

Meanwhile, besides 72 heavy cargo trucks loaded with goods, not a single tanker of petroleum products entered the country via Kakadbhitta Mechi Customs office on Sunday.

DSP Shayam Adhikary of Area Police Office, Kakadbhitta said the situation, however, was normal on the Indo-Nepal border in the east.
