Sindhupalchowk, Nov 18:

Six persons were injured in a clash that occurred today on the Araniko Highway near Tatopani VDC in Sindhupalchowk district between red sandalwood smugglers and locals waiting to ambush the smugglers.

The clash erupted when the locals, who had got wind of the smugglers’ movement, tried to inspect the containers of the vehicles, inspector Dadhi Ram Chaudhari at the Barahbise area police office. The injured persons were taken to the Barahbise primary health post for treatment.
