7 injured in Jajarkot jeep accident

JAJARKOT: At least seven persons were injured when a jeep they were travelling in met with an accident near Gaurikhali of Khalanga, Jajarkot on Tuesday.

The injured have been identified as Kamari Shah (40) of Bheri Malika Municipality-2, Ratnakhar Jaisi (27) of Tolegaun-6, Ramachya Mahato (37) of Sudama-9 of Sarlahi, Parbati Thapa (26) of Dhime-1, Bhimsen Thapa (31) of Dhime-1, Krishna Jung Shah (52) of Bherimalika and Prem Arasi (28) of Paika-5.

It has been learned that Kamari, Ratnakhar, Ramachya, Parbati were critically injured in the incident.

Leaving the engine running, driver Lal Bahadur Oli (22) of Bheri Malika Municipality-2 had parked the jeep (Bhe 1 Ja 708) at Gaurikhali to wait for the passengers. The incident occurred after a youth push the vehicle from behind, the District Police Office, Jajarkot informed.

Police said that driver was not in the vehicle when the incident occurred.

The jeep had left Khalanga Bus Park for Panchkatiya at around 3:30 pm.

Critically injured in the incident,  Kamari, Ratnakhar, Ramachya, Parbati are receiving treatment at the District Health Office, Jajarkot, police said.
