7 pilgrims injured in Panchthar jeep accident

PHIDIM: As many as seven pilgrims were injured when a jeep they were travelling in met with an accident at Amarpur of Panchthar on Tuesday.

According to the Area Police Office, Amarpur, the jeep (Na 1 Ja 4501) was on the way to Pathibhara Temple when the incident occurred.

Police said that the incident occurred after the driver lost control of the vehicle.

There were 15 persons on board the jeep.

All the injured have been taken to the B and C Hospital in Jhapa after receiving primary treatment at the District Hospital in Panchthar.

Police said that they have impounded the jeep and arrested its driver Bhakta Shrestha (32) of Suryodaya Municipality-6 of Ilam district.
