GAIGHAT, DECEMBER 22
Udayapur police detained a 70-year-old man on the charge of rape from Triyuga Municipality-12 on Tuesday.
The septuagenarian of Pratibha Tol was arrested after a 25-year-old woman made a police complaint against him alleging him of sexually assaulting her.
Police apprehended the accused immediately after receiving the information, said Inspector Mohan Thapa, at the District Police Office, Udayapur.
The District Court in Udayapur has remanded the accused to judicial custody for five days pending further investigation, according to Inspector Thapa.
