GAIGHAT, NOVEMBER 18
A person died while three others sustained injuries after the tractor they were travelling on lost control in Udayapurgadhi Rural Municipality-6 of Udayapur district on Thursday.
Bauka Sada (40) of Gairun in Triyuga Municipality-9 was killed, while his wife Narayani Bati Sada (40), Sukun Sada (16), and tractor driver Diwas Sarki (20) of Karmagachika in Triyuga-10 were injured, according to police.
The tractor (Province no. 2-01-001 Ta 1083) was ferrying laborers from Gaighat to Rupatar when it lost control at a turning in Danuwabesi along the Madan Bhandrai Highway at 8:30 a.m. today, injuring four people, police said. Bauka, who was critically injured, died as a result of his injuries while being treated at Udaypur Hospital, policea dded.
Meanwhile, three additional seriously injured people have been sent to Biratnagar for treatment, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bed Prasad Gautam of the Udayapur District Police Office.
