Nepal on Tuesday reported 78 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country. With this, the nationwide infection count has advanced to 274,294.

Of the newly infected, 33 are females and 45 are males.

Likewise, 72 people who were earlier infected with the virus are reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours as per the latest data provided by health ministry. As of today, 270,543 individuals have recovered from the novel coronavirus infection. The recovery rate, as such, is 98.6 per cent.

Nepal's active Covid-19 case count currently stands at 974.

The total nationwide death-toll remains at 2,777 with zero Covid-related fatality reported today.

According to the health ministry, 4,127 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,170,112 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.

Currently, there are 58 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Monday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 274,216 with 73 newly confirmed cases.

Globally, over 115 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 2.5 million people have lost their lives to Covid-19. Likewise, over 90 million people have recovered from the disease while more than 21 million cases are still active.
