BIRATNAGAR: Police arrested eight persons on Friday on the charge of vandalising and torching half-a-dozen government offices in Rangeli on Wednesday. The arrested include former Rangeli VDC chairman Bijay Sharma, former Takuwa VDC chairman Sadananda Yadav, Shankar Prasad Shah, Uma Lal Rajbansi, Raj Kumar Yadav, Sadananda Yadav of Dainiya, Bijay Kumar Yadav and Chandra Yadav of Takuwa, said Morang district SP Gopal Bhandari.

Most of the arrested are activists of the Nepal Sadbhawana Party (NSP), Bhandari said.
