Chitwan, March 24:

Eight persons were killed and 13 hurt in road mishaps in Chitwan and Palpa on Tuesday. Six died and 13 were injured when a microbus plunged into the Trishuli at Lebetar in Darechowk VDC-3 in Chitwan. The incident occurred when the Kathmandu-bound vehicle, collided with a bus along the Prithivi highway. The identity of three victims is yet to be ascertained. Two persons have been rushed to the capital for treatment. Two persons were killed when a tractor heading to Palpa from Butwal met with an accident at Madanpokhara-4 along the Siddhartha highway.
