KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 27
Nepal on Saturday reported 81 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country. With this, the nationwide infection count has advanced to 274,065.
Of the newly infected, 35 are females and 46 are males.
Likewise, 48 people who were earlier infected with the virus are reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours as per the latest data provided by health ministry. As of today, 270,325 individuals have recovered from the novel coronavirus infection. The recovery rate, as such, is 98.6 per cent.
Nepal's active Covid-19 case count currently stands at 967.
The nationwide death-toll reached 2,773 with two Covid-related fatalities reported today.
According to the health ministry, 2,824 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,160,404 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.
Currently, there are 62 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Friday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 273,984 with 112 newly confirmed cases.
Globally, over 114 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 2.5 million people have lost their lives to Covid-19. Likewise, over 89 million people have recovered from the disease while more than 21 million cases are still active.
