KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 26

Nepal on Friday reported 112 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country. With this, the nationwide infection count has advanced to 273,984.

Of the newly infected, 44 are females and 68 are males.

Likewise, 54 people who were earlier infected with the virus are reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours as per the latest data provided by health ministry.

As of today, 270,277 individuals have recovered from the novel coronavirus infection. The recovery rate, as such, is 98.7 per cent.

Nepal's active Covid-19 case count currently stands at 936.

The nationwide death-toll reached 2,771, with two four Covid-related fatalities reported today.

According to the health ministry, 3,944 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,157,580 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.

Currently, there are 71 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Thursday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 273,872 with 112 newly confirmed cases.

Globally, over 113 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 2.5 million people have lost their lives to Covid-19.Likewise, over 89 million people have recovered from the disease while more than 21 million cases are still active.
