DHANKUTA
As many as 835 people have received the first dose of the vaccine against COVID-19 in Dhankuta while 224 people received the vaccine on the fourth day of the vaccination campaign in Jhapa on Saturday.
According to Dhankuta Health Office, health workers and staff of district hospital, health office and five private health facilities received the vaccine.
The vaccination campaign started on Thursday with frontline workers receiving the vaccine in the first phase. Chief at health office Tulasi Guragain said doctors, health workers, women volunteers and sanitation staff, among other frontline workers, were vaccinated in the first phase.
Meanwhile, 141 females and 83 males received the vaccine against the virus, according to district Health Office.
The health office informed that 74 had received the vaccine in Provincial Hospital, Bhadrapur, 80 at Anarmani Municipal Hospital and 70 at Damak Hospital.
