CHITWAN: At least nine persons, including eight students, were injured after a passenger bus collided with a school bus at Khakhure of Rapti, along the East-West highway,on Monday evening. One of the injured is critical.

According to Chitwan District Police Office, the passenger bus (Na 5 Kha 1906) was hit by the Khaireni-based Daisy Boarding School's bus from behind.

Eight of the injured are admitted to the Chitwan Medical College and the critically injured student is undergoing treatment at the College of Medical Sciences.

It has been learned that the collision took place after the driver of passenger applied brake all of the sudden.

Police have taken the bus driver in custody.
