KANCHANPUR: Altogether 91 government school teachers have faced an action for their failure to furnish details of their property as per the existing law.

A teacher failing to provide his/her property details to the respective School Teacher Records Office could be fined up to Rs 5,000 as per the legal provision.

The provision requires the teachers to provide details of their property within 60 days of the beginning of new academic year through respective District Education Offices.

District Education Officer Shyam Singh Dhami said that out of the total 1,186 teachers working in the district, only 1,015 furnished their property details so far.
