LAHAN: A youth died after the motorcycle he was riding on was rammed by a tipper lorry along the East-West Highway in Khadak Municipality-8 of Saptari district on Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as motorcyclist Sanjaya Yadav (30) of Nawarajpur Rural Municipality-1, in Siraha district.

The tipper (Sa 1 ka 179) heading in a westward direction hit the motorcycle (Sa 6 Pa 2891)  critically injuring Yadav, near Kalyanpur last night, according to Area Police Office, Kalyanpur.

Injured Yadav was rushed to Lahan-based Sapta Rishi Hospital where he succumbed to injuries during the course of treatment.

Meanwhile, another person seriously injured in the accident, identified as Amit, has been undergoing treatment at Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar.
