Abductee's body found aft 6 months

DAMAK: Body of Dilli Prasad Yonghang, a cloth trader of Panchami Bazaar in Ilam district, was found in nearby river bank, after six months of his abduction, on Saturday. Yonghang, a resident of Ibhang VDC-2 of the district, was abducted by unknown persons while he had set out with an intention of buying land. Family members said he had been carrying Rs six lakhs with him then.

According to Nabin Karki, Inspector at Area Police Office, Damak, remains of Yonghang’s body were recovered from the local Ratuwa river that lies between Chulachuli of Ilam and Damak of Jhapa.

The police said that Yonghang could have been murdered as the recovered skeleton suggested that his hands were tied on back and blindfolded. A thorough investigation into the incident was already underway, said Inspector Karki.
