KATHMANDU: Police have arrested an absconding person convicted of an arms and ammunition crime after 14 months of conviction, on Wednesday.

Police have arrested Santosh Rai (21) of Solma-6, Khotang from Itahari-24 of Sunsari district yesterday.

The Khotang District Court had convicted him of the crime and pronounced the imprisonment of one and half years on December 17, 2015. Since then, he was on the run.

Police are investigating into the case.
