BHOJPUR: An absconding man who was convicted of drug smuggling by the Morang District Court six years ago has been arrested on Monday.

The fugitive has been identified as Chandan Kumar Sahani, of Biratnagar-7, Morang.

The Court had slapped a two-year sentence and a penalty of Rs 200,000 cash as per the Narcotic Drugs (Control) Act, 1976 on January 13, 2010.

Sahani has been sent to district jail for the execution of the sentence, police said.
