RAUATAHAT: Police on Saturday arrested an absconding person on charge of murdering a man of Aurahi-9, Sarlahi district.

Ram Kailash Raya Yadav (45) of the same VDC had killed Thaga Raya Yadav in 2009, the District Police Office, Rautahat informed. He was on the run since then.

Ram Kailash, who had been living in India, was arrested while he had come to attend a wedding ceremony at Pachrukhi in Rautahat.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Gangapipara, under the command of DSP Chandan Singh nabbed him this morning.

He has been handed over to the District Police Office, Sarlahi, for investigation, DSP Nabin Krishna Bhandari of the District Police Office, Rautahat informed.
