BHOJPUR: Police said they have arrested an absconding rape convict from Bhojpur district of eastern Nepal on Wednesday.

The arrestee has been identified as Kaji Katuwal of Okhre-9, Bhojpur and currently residing at Lekharka-7.

The Bhojpur District Court had sentenced Katuwal to nine years in prison for raping a woman.

He has been sent to the District Jail, police said.
