DAMAULI: Chairman of Shukla Gandaki Municipality-8 in Tanahun district Krishna Prasad Regmi who was absconding for the past two months has surrendered to the police on Monday. He has been charged of raping a woman of the same ward.

Regmi had fled after a rape allegation from a 27-year-old woman from the same ward, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Tanahun Shyamu Aryal said.

The woman, in her application to the police, said that Regmi raped her repeatedly on November 16, 2018 and afterwards.
