Acharya for round table meet
Kathmandu, April 12:
Nepali Congress central member Narahari Acharya today suggested that the government invite all agitating factions to sit for a round-table conference.
“Sitting separately for talks with each faction is lengthy and time-consuming,” Acharya said. I suggest the government go for a collective dialogue with all the factions at the same time,” he said at an interaction. Acharya said the government was not in a position to hold CA polls in June.
State Minister for General Administration Ram Chandra Ray appealed to all the agitating factions to sit for talks. NC-D leader Sarat Singh Bhandari also suggested to hold a round table conference to address the crisis facing the country.
Maoist leader Prabhu Shah emphasised on addressing the Tarai issue before holding the CA polls. Dr Om Gurung of the Janajati Mahasangh criticised the government and parties for maintaining double standards on addressing the Janajati issue.
