KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 15
Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 780,824 on Wednesday with 1,332 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 743,526 with 1,220 discharges logged today.
On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll increased to 10,991 with seven more fatalities.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 16,844 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 12,524 were PCR tests while 4,320 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,057,383 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 428 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 1,760.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 95.2 %, while the fatality rate stands at 1.5%. The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 26,307.
Currently, there are 218 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
Globally, over 226 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 4.6 million people have lost their lives to the disease.
Likewise, over 203 million people have recovered while more than 18 million cases are still active.
