‘Govt, Maoists flouting code’

Dhangadhi, June 12 :

Member of civil society, Dr Devendraraj Pandey, today said the Maoists and the government have not been fully following the ceasefire code of conduct.

Speaking at an interaction organised by the Sarwangin Bikash Kendra in Dhangadhi, Pandey said it is the duty of the political parties to solve the problems the nation is facing.

“The political parties are not expressing clear views on monarchy,” he said, adding: “The political parties are showing their attraction towards monarchy due to the foreign forces.”

Speaking at the function, journalist, Shyam Shrestha, said there is a need to take action against the chief of army staff of the Nepal Army, Pyar Jung Thapa. Maoist regional chief, Lekhraj Bhatt, said the foreign forces don’t want to see the Maoists joining the government.
