HETAUDA: After a change in weather, various parts of Makawanpur district received record snowfall on Wednesday.

Vehicular movement along the Tribhuvan Highway was disrupted following heavy snowfall in Daman, Palung, Simbhanjyang and other places till Thursday evening, police informed.

According to District Police Office, Makawanpur, at least 4-feet snow blanketed the highway.

Majority of high altitude areas in Thaha Municipality witness snowfall every year, but this year the municipality and Bhimfedi, Kailash, Raksirang, Aambhanjyang, Bakaiya Rural Municipality received record snowfall, hitting normal life hard in the region.
