AIG Kayastha stresses public support to curb crime

Rajbiraj, December 25

Province 2 Police Chief AIG Bijaya Lal Kayastha today said it was challenging for security agencies to curb criminal activities due to lack of mutual cooperation between security personnel and the general public.

Speaking at a function after inaugurating the newly-constructed building of Area Police Office and Traffic Police Post at Kanchanrup Municipality of Saptari, AIG Kayastha stressed the need of civic support for the police to effectively control crime and maintain peace in society. “Hence, the police orgnisation should be people-friendly,” he said.

AIG Kayastha also lauded public support in holding the recent local level, provincial and parliamentary elections in a peaceful and fair manner. “All security personnel should deliver services in such a way that there should not be any grievances from the public,” he said.

Meanwhile, Saptari police chief SP Mukesh Kumar Singh said police were trying their best to discharge duty in a fair, efficient and effective manner, in coordination with the public.
