DAMAULI, APRIL 7

Myagde Rural Municipality, Tanahun, launched its own ambulance service today.

Myagde Rural Municipality Chairperson Mayadevi Rana inaugurated the service at a ceremony.

According to the rural municipality Chief Administrative Officer Narayan Prasad Adhikari, the vehicle was procured under the provision of waiver of customs tariff by paying 1.065 million rupees.

"At a time when the pandemic is yet to come under control, the ambulance will help save lives by providing people round-the-clock emergency service," said Rana, adding that the service would benefit patients, especially pregnant women.

"Now that we have an emergency vehicle in the local level itself, it will deliver and pick up patients from their homes. Similarly, if patients are to be taken elsewhere, the vehicle will be of great help," he said.
