Jha calls on voters to elect Madhesi alliance candidates
Rautahat, November 30
Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal presidium member and Rautahat Constituency No 1 parliamentary candidate Anil Kumar Jha said it was crucial for the Madhesi alliance to win the December 7 polls to address the demands raised by the Madhesi people during the Madhes movement.
Speaking at an election mass meet organised at BP Chowk in Gaur, Rautahat, today, Jha appealed to voters to elect the alliance’s candidates to ensure amendment to the constitution.
“It’s time to elect RJP-N and Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal candidates to make sure that rights of Madhesi people are established and that the dream of martyrs of the Madhes movement is realised,” Jha said.
Saying that RJP-N and FSF-N were the only political parties that could address demands of Madhesi people, Jha added, “CPN-UML, Nepali Congress and CPN-Maoist Centre have betrayed Madhes and its people time and again.”
Provincial candidates Babulal Sah Kanu of RJP-N and Yogendra Yadav of FSF-N from Rautahat constituency 1 ‘Ka’ and ‘Kha’ respectively held a similar view that NC and communist parties had long dominated Madhesi people with state powers.
“The domination by the Nepali Congress, the UML and the CPN-Maoist Centre of Madhesi people will end if Madhesi voters elect Madhesi alliance candidates in the upcoming election,” he said.
